Internet: a network of networks that links providers and devices
Network: a group or system of interconnected people or things
Internet Protocol (IP): An address that is unique to each device in the network.
Each IP address is made up of a bunch of numbers called bits.
Domain Name: associates websites with their IP addresses
DSL/Cable: a cable that sends messages through electricity using copper wires
Fiber-Optic Cable: a thread of glass engineered to reflect light
Wi-Fi: wireless connection using radio waves
Packet: data that is broken down into parts of a whole and travels from one IP address to another
Router: control the path packets take to get to their destination
Reliabilty: TCP checks that everything arrives at its destination and
routers make sure that everything gets to the TCP correctly
